Social Club 19 has joined forces with Indianapolis' fashion powerhouse in celebrating Fashion's Night Out. Check out the letter from Jeremiah Williams, Executive Editor, with an exciting announcement.
Letter from me to you
My intention with starting Social Club 19, was to continue my contribution to highlighting and encouraging engagement with my cities growing fashion culture. It was in 2008, that I participated in an event that opened my eyes that Indianapolis wanted a dynamic fashion culture. Since 2008, I have had the amazing opportunity to socialize, connect, and collaborate with passionate fashion professionals. My passion and level of work has and continues to be challenged, as I connect with local industry professionals.
I am very excited to announce that I will be hosting "Indy's Fashion's Night Out Social Media Lounge". It is still crazy that Indianapolis is participating in the global, one night only, fashion event. It is time to share with those who say, "There is no fashion in Indianapolis" that in fact they are just wrong. There are industry professionals based in Indianapolis, whose talent is competitive to any other major fashion city. If you are not able to visit us in Indianapolis, you can follow the official #FNOindy to see what we are doing in Indianapolis.
The lounge will not only be the epicenter for producing content, to highlight the ways Indianapolis is celebrating Fashion's Night Out. The lounge will also be an opportunity for online brands to get local bloggers and social media engagers to experience their brand and product line.
Fashion isn't dead in Indianapolis, it just takes more creativity to achieve your style goals. Sometimes it takes mixing garments from the national and fast-fashion stores with some of the boutiques found around Indianapolis' cultural districts. Is it easier to just stop in Express or H&M for a guy and buy the outfit off the display? Yes, but so does the hundreds of other customers coming in to do the same thing. That is why when you go out to an event everyone is wearing the same thing. There is no street style when guys don't embrace their OWN unique since of style.
Make plans now for September 6, from 6PM to 9PM, to visit myself and other industry professionals at the Artsgarden connected to Circle Centre Mall. We have planned events that will give you the opportunity to connect with industry professionals. Stylists, for men and women, will be on hand to give you personal assistance, and even show ways to accent your outfit. Make-up and Hair artists and stylist will be on hand to highlight some looks for men and women. There will even be a concierge available to direct you to resources around Indianapolis that will help meet your style needs. A road team of bloggers will be traveling to other sites where other Fashion's Night Out events are planned.
I personally hope to get the opportunity to meet some of the readers who visit the site. I would like to meet and talk with you to know what you are looking for to become your go to spot for men's fashion and style content.
Social Club 19 is really excited in partnering with Pattern to produce a great event for Indianapolis. Come visit us to get your professional styling advice, and use the advice to buy a new outfit. Then I invite you to come celebrate with myself, Pattern, and others as we socialize and show off the new outfit. We will be throwing a party in partnership with Blu lounge.
See you guys September 6
