FOREVER 21, PATTERN INDY, AND SAFETY STRAIGHT RAZOR

There is a fine line between having a good week and having a bad week. We all have bad days, or even a string of bad days back to back. My goal is to share three things that made me happy from the past week. Sometimes superficial, and other times deep in meaning. Don't judge. Check out the three things that made me happy last week, and share with me your favorite things on Twitter @_Jeremiah_.

FOREVER 21 MENSWEAR

I have to be completely honest, I often forget about the menswear collection at Forever 21. I tend to wear a lot of black. I am pretty obsessed with the black and gold color combo lately. I went shopping for a few new pieces, but couldn't find anything. I was leaving my local mall, and decided to check in on Forever 21. I was greatly surprised with the pieces I spotted in the store. Great patterns. Exciting transition fashion pieces. I went to the sale section first, and spotted the one piece I needed to add to my wardrobe. Hanging on a disheveled rack of clothes was a gray denim jacket. Pretty sure I heard angels singing, because it fit great. So gents I recommend checking out the Forever 21 menswear collections for some pattern jumpers and printed tee's. It made me happy.

PATTERN INDY

Before I started Social Club 19, I was on Tumblr. A local fashion community had a blog and asked if I would be interested in being a contributor. I said sure. It was the first time I actually considered myself a "blogger." The blog transformed in Pattern Indy, which produces a quarterly magazine that is sold internationally and has won it's first award. I still contribute to their digital content, and recently wrote an piece about three reasons to be proud to be apart of a local emerging fashion community in my home city Indianapolis. Check it out, it makes me happy.

SAFETY STRAIGHT RAZOR

Shaving has completely changed when I started using a safety single blade straight razor. I always used a four blade razor, and it did the job. Using a single blade straight razor made no sense to me. Four blades had to be better than one. The commercials told me I would get a better comfortable shave with multiple blades. More is better right America? The gentleman and barbers of yesteryear knew what was up. Not only do I get a cleaner shave, but my face is just happier. Not to mention I feel way more like a gentleman when using the razor to start my morning. Before you go out and buy an expensive high-end razor, there are models around $20 that will give you a good idea if it is an investment you want to make. It is life changing, and it makes me happy.
