GINGHAM & GANGNAM STYLE GUIDE

Don't fight the feeling any longer. You want to learn PSY's Gangnam dance. Since Social Club 19's Executive Editor is obsessed with the song ... so before we get to the style guide - we give you the video. Enjoy!

Now lets get serious. A great pattern for guys, besides the popular plaid pattern, is gingham. (See the connection there) The pattern works great to add some style to a solid colored suit, or business wear. The pattern also works well for street wear too, in fact it is a great way to layer up the patterns. The style guide for you men is a mixture of some of our favorite brands. A mixture of bigger brands and specialty products. It is all about investing in cool specialty pieces to add to less expensive pieces to create a finished look.

The Gingham shirt is from J Crew. Then we found a really cool pair of raw denim from the amazing collection from Naked and Famous Denim.  The denim is a dark indigo linen and cotton blend. One of our favorite parts of the denim is that the interior of the denim is a grey and white striped pattern. Perfect when you cuff your denim.

Guys don't be scared of pattern. Embrace it. We found a great cardigan from Urban Outfitters. Cardigans is as much as a fall staple as hoodies. The cardigan is a fantastic pattern that resembles US western wear.

To add to the street wear look don't forget the accessories. Bandanna, bracelets, and a shiny watch are standard options to have on hand. There is an emerging accessory brand from Canada called Vitaly Design. They sent us one of their wood double finger rings. A huge hit. Not to mention it is always cool to check out emerging brands and watch what happens. They have a cool way of mixing wood and metal together to create dope accessories from rings and pendents to cuff-links. Check them out guys.

So the only connection between the Gangnam video and Gingham shirt pattern is to remember to have fun with your street style look.
