DON'T BE AN AMERICAN IDIOT

Indy's Broadway Across America is bringing American Idiot to Indianapolis at Clowes Hall, April 2-7. Described on the official tour site,  "American Idiot is the story of three lifelong friends, forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia". A story many can relate too who was coming of age in the post 9/11 world. Not to mention the soundtrack will time warp anyone back to the days of the mid 90's when a special kind of grunge was embraced as a style option. Even Vogue featured a "grunge styled" editorial.

Many would hope to never see the ill fitting age of grunge styling come back. Ever. But atlas leave it to N. Hoolywood to present a Spring 2013 show that bordered the line of homeless-chic and grunge. Not that there is a real difference. N. Hoolywood celebrated an extreme street culture of street art. Models created their own kind of artwork as they walked the runway. Can you spot it in the pictures below?

What do you think? Is the grunge trend something just getting started again or will it just be reserved for costuming in great rock opera's like Green Day's American Idiot?

Hopefully I will be seeing you guys at the show in April. Grunge styling not required.
