Since the beginning of time, there has been one thing that men can hold sacred. That, my friends, is facial hair.
Styles of facial hair come and go with different generations, everything from the Magnum P.I. mustache to the wildly creative styles of the 90s. So, I started thinking what the facial hair style of our generation is, until I realized, it’s the “super beard.”
The “super beard,” has come at the perfect time. All generations prior to ours see us millennial’s as tech-savvy guys who are scared to get our hands dirty. The beard is here to end those thoughts and send a message. That message is, even though we know our way around anything with a screen; we can also make a day out of chopping wood.
This new style has made way for the “urban beardsman,” as Eric Bandholz, creator of “Beardbrand,” deems this culture of bearded men. The urban beardsman is one who wears it fashionably, maintaining the gift of a great beard while complimenting it with great personal style. There are a few different products for your beard out there. There are oils, waxes and conditioners, to name a few. Lucky for you, I will be trying out some of these products and giving you first hand reviews on the different products and brands to use in order to keep that mane of yours looking dashing.
One thing I have noticed since the start of my bearding excursion two months ago is that the beard will change you. People will look at you differently, other men will respect you more, some may make comments but deep down inside they’re thinking, “Man, I wish I could pull off whiskers like that.”
