JUST NOT BLACK AND WHITE FOR RACE WEEK

It is one of the best weeks to celebrate the tradition of Race Weekend. It is not just any week around Indianapolis. It is the week that leads up to the greatest spectacle in racing, The Indy 500. If you grew up in Indy, you know how hard it is to not catch the fever of open wheel cars buzzing around the oval track. From the traditions of Rookie Orientation to Poll Day to the singing of "Back Home Again In Indiana", its all about Indianapolis tradition. Sadly it was announced earlier that the iconic Jim Nabors will not be performing the traditional "Back Home Again in Indiana". The Snake Pit ball, Carb day, and dropping of the black and white checkered flag will still be happening this week.

What will you be wearing gentleman? You don't have to be wearing traditional black and white for all events of race week. Try adding some color. Better get on it though some of my picks HAVE to be ordered by today to receive by weekend. Check out Social Club 19's top picks.
Hayes & Taylor will help you stand out in the Snake Pit

Party professionals know that the Snake Pit is the place to be on turn 3. The tradition goes back generations, and many have only heard the rumors of what happened when the sun went down. This years it is still the party spot for many. Benny Benassi will be performing for you party people.

With all the people who will be partying in the infield, you will want to stand out in the crown. Lucky for you an all local brand Hayes & Taylor has you covered, and gets my top pick for you guys and gals. The guys of H&T have picked a neon colored tank to pay tribute to the Indianapolis 500. Many will be wearing the black and white traditional colors of the track, but only the few will be rocking the neon graphic tank. You better hurry though, place your order today in order to get it by the weekend. Don't miss out, you even can get the combo that includes the all important koozie.

Show that 317 pride

It is no lie that Hoosiers are known for hospitality and pride. Yea you could buy a stiff super expensive novelty t shirt from a truck, or get something that is homegrown. My second pick is the famous "317." shirt from People for Urban Progress. The shirts can be found at a few places around Indy and online. The shirts give a clean shout out to the 317. The Indy 500 is a national event that brings the yearly attention to Indianapolis. Why not show the pride with something uniquely Indy.  While you could wear a black and white outfit, the Spring and Summer trend is all about color so branch out this year.

People for Urban Progress has other shirt options as well that you should check out. If you know someone who is a fan of Indy events, they also have totes, bags, and wallets made from the banners used around Indy for the Super Bowl.

Nothing says May like adding more car action

For the first time the popular European road rally, Gumball 3000, will be making a weekend stop in Indianapolis. To really understand the culture and concept of the Gumball 3000 you have to check out their website. Social Club 19 will be writing more about the celebrity packed road rally race across America. Gumball 3000 will be showing off the pimped out rides on the circle Saturday May 25th, with what is sure to be a celebrity packed party at Sensu that evening.

To celebrate the love of high speed and cars in Indianapolis, Gumball 3000 has a 2012 Road Rally shirt highlighting the Indy stop. The shirt is cool but not as cool of some of the other Gumball 3000 gear featured on their site. So check out another option to celebrate this iconic week in May for Indianapolis.

Tomorrow Social Club 19 will be posting about the VIP style you will need this weekend to not look lame at those race parties. Plan now gents, you will have competition this weekend.
